Ludford Park Meadow of Remembrance
Ludford Park Meadow of Remembrance is closely associated with Shropshire Wildlife Trust. For every plot sold on this green burial site 10% is donated directly to the Trust. In the last two years this has raised nearly £2,000 to help wildlife and wild places in Shropshire.
The Ludford Park Meadow of Remembrance is a green burial ground in a tranquil wild flower meadow on the edge of town. A recent survey by the Trust’s botanist revealed no fewer than 56 plant species. These include musk mallow, yellow rattle, red campion and ox-eye daisies.
“Shropshire Wildife Trust is most grateful for these donations. As a local charity, the Trust is reliant on the generosity and commitment of all those who cherish the wildlife and wild places of Shropshire. It is contributions such as these that pay for the protection of this beautiful county,” said John Hughes, development manager for the Trust.
