Questions about membership

Will my donations be used wisely?

We are a very efficient organisation, regulated by The Charity Commission, more than 80% of our income goes directly on conservation.

Do I have to be actively involved?

Not if you chose not to be. The Trust knows that many people don't have the time to be actively involved. Your financial support gives us the means to employ professional conservationists.

Why should I support Shropshire Wildlife Trust if I already give to another charity?

It all depends what is important to you. Shropshire Wildlife Trust is active where you live, protecting the county's wildlife and wild places.

Is Shropshire Wildlife Trust part of a national organisation?

The Trust is one of 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the UK, but operates as an independent organisation. Wildlife doesn't stop at country borders and we are a strong network, working together on regional and national projects. The Wildlife Trusts manage 2,500 nature reserves across almost 200,000 acres of the UK and are the countries largest volunteer organisation, giving us a voice that is heard nationally.

How much does it cost to join?

How much you give Shropshire Wildlife Trust is your decision. We do have minimum rates to ensure we cover our costs. The more you give, the more we can help wildlife.
