chimpanzees.jpg (Content Image (222px wide))Professor Larry Barham of the University of Liverpool, an expert on palaeoanthropology, will give an archaeologist's view that technology shaped us as a species. You may never look at a knife and fork (or chopsticks) in the same way again.

Professor Barham has been working in Zambia for nearly 20 years and has a particular interest in the co-evolution of language, creativity and technology.

The lecture is sponsored by the West Midlands Branch of the Society of Biology and is free of charge. Photo by Dr Susana Carvalho.
