Experience the spectacular sights and sounds of ravens gathering to roost at dusk in the south Shropshire hills.
This 3-mile walk will take us from the village of Kempton (west of Craven Arms) to a vantage point opposite the Iron Age hillfort of Burrow, below which the ravens roost in a steep-sided, wooded valley. It will be led by Tom Wall and Leo Smith, who have a wealth of knowledge about ravens in Shropshire.
Meet at Kempton village hall at 4pm for a cup of tea and introduction. £3 per person booking essential 01743 284280. Children very welcome but no dogs.
Wear warm clothes and be prepared for some steep walking, mud, cattle and a little darkness on the return walk. Bring a torch!
