Team building events
“Teams from a number of our departments have now been involved in volunteer days with Shropshire Wildlife Trust and they have, without fail, been extremely valuable. The wonderful thing is that everyone gets something out of it, from the individuals to the teams they are in, as well as Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Müller Dairy. It’s a great thing to do all round and we recommend it to other county businesses.” Said Müller Dairy chief executive, Stewart Gilliland.
Shropshire Wildlife Trust offers a range of opportunities for team tasks on its nature reserves. These include practical conservation work such as pond maintenance, scrub clearance, tree planting and other activities to help manage wild places for wildlife and for the enjoyment of people. With 37 nature reserves around the county, there are always opportunities to get involved close to where you work.

Tudor Griffiths Group
Every year more than 1000 local schoolchildren enjoy trips to Wood Lane Nature Reserve, near Ellesmere in north Shropshire, thanks to an arrangement between Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Tudor Griffiths Group through the Landfill Tax Credit Scheme.
The company has developed its own nature reserve on a worked out sand and gravel pit, now one of the best places for wetland birds in the whole of the county. Over the last decade 170 different species of bird have been spotted here, including unusual visitors such as spoonbill and snow goose. The site is also a valued refuge for breeding lapwing, one of Shropshire's most threatened species.
