Life Stories

Life Stories is a new project telling the story of Shropshire's landscape, how it has shaped the lives of the people who live in it, and how they have shaped that landscape in turn.

This is part of the bigger Living Landscape vision, a pioneering approach to nature conservation run nationally by the Wildlife Trusts. In Shropshire, the Living Landscape is an idea as big as the county itself; to restore the entire landscape for both wildlife and people, recreating a wild place that starts outside your back door and runs right up to the highest peak of the Stiperstones.

To begin with we are focusing on these eight areas, each of which Shropshire Wildlife Trust has identified as a pilot Living Landscape scheme.

Life Stories will look at each of these in turn, with the results presented here for you to explore.
