Nextdoor Nature Projects
Nextdoor Nature empowers people to take action for nature where they live! Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to leave a lasting natural legacy to mark The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Nextdoor Nature will give people the skills, tools, and opportunity to help wildlife flourish near them.
Green Influencers Project (Ages 10 - 16)
We received grant funding to help create, support and oversee groups of young people aged 10-16 to take environmental social action within their community.
Boost for Green Influencers Projects

B-lines Project bid success
Buglife’s “Severn B-Lines” project, which will be run in Shropshire, is one of the first environmental projects awarded a grant from the government’s £80 million Green Recovery Challenge Fund.
Habitat Mapping Project
It is vital there is as comprehensive a habitat map as possible to help Shropshire’s Nature Recovery Network Partnership identify opportunity areas for habitat restoration and creation through the NRN map. Any habitat restored or created as a result of this project and the NRN will help us reach our target of 30% of land for nature by 2030.
Project scoops award
The Shropshire Slow the Flow, Natural Flood Management Project took the ‘Studies and Research’ category for the prestigious ICE West Midlands Awards 2022.
The Cut garden project
A fantastic group of volunteers have come together to revitalise Shropshire Wildlife Trust's gardens. This Heritage Lottery funded project will enable visitors to learn more about the wildlife, history and the buildings at The Cut visitor centre in Shrewsbury.
