In Memory Giving
Maybe they had fond memories of visiting Shropshire on childhood holidays, maybe a walk in the woods was their favourite ritual. Perhaps they just loved birds, bugs and butterflies. Either way, your loved ones devotion to Shropshire's wild places is something we share.
A gift to Shropshire Wildlife Trust can be a wonderful way to keep their memory alive while supporting efforts to preserve and re-establish the places and species that they cherished.
You may choose to make a donation in their name, arrange a collection at their funeral or memorial or choose to become a member and share in the wonder of nature in Shropshire.

Memorial trees
We understand that planting a tree is often a meaningful way to commemorate a loved one, however maintaining and protecting trees that bear this significance is not always feasible. The time and cost of taking care of memorial trees means that we are no longer able to accommodate requests for the planting of memorial trees.
Memorial benches
Each of our nature reserves has unique infrastructure requirements and priorities for management with benches and other site infrastructure subject to long term site planning. We are therefore unable to offer memorial benches at any of our nature reserves.
Scattering ashes
We understand that our reserves have often been important parts of local people's lives, and support them being used for quiet remembrance, without disturbing their primary role as a nature reserve.
We discourage the scattering of ashes on nature reserves as they can impact the delicate ecosystems that we are aiming to protect. We also discourage leaving any visible memorial materials, such as flowers and wreathes, which can also have negative impacts on wildlife.
