Help us to tell the UK Government that nature deserves better! The UK Government are developing targets to meet the commitments in the Environment Acts. It says these are ambitious plans for nature recovery - and yet current plans would mean less wildlife in England in 20 years time. the UK Government must act NOW. Demand more for nature by signing our petition.

Protected nature reserves alone cannot meet the needs of wildlife or our society. We need to restore and protect other places in the landscape that are still rich in wildlife.  It is our aim to stitch fragmented wild places together and give nature the chance to renew itself.

Bringing nature into communities with projects, useful resources and support in order to enable more people to connect with nature.

The Wildlife Trusts have joined more than 60 nature, planning, health and equality organisations to launch a new ‘Nature For Everyone’ campaign, calling for a ‘legal right to nature’ to be a key component of the Government’s Levelling Up reforms.

For months there has been an attack on nature, with decision makers and Government weakening the laws that protect our wildlife and going back on nature promises and targets; reversing reforms to farming and making energy decisions that will worsen climate change.

Wildlife Trusts across the UK have a strategy to expand the area of land where nature can flourish to 30%.

The live well with nature programme formed as a partnership between Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Telford & Wrekin Council but has sadly now ended. If you would like to improve health & wellbeing through conservation activities please search your local area and the words 'conservation volunteer' as there are over 20 groups active across Telford operating on Telford & Wrekin’s many local nature reserves and green spaces.
