About the event

Celebrate National Marine Week with us! Find out about some of the fascinating creatures that live around our coast. We’ve ‘recreated’ a seashore for you to hunt shells, learn to identify beachcombing finds and explore all things seaside.

 Feel how smooth is a tropical cowrie shell, how spiky is a spider crab. Hear the sea in a whelk shell. Can you lift a whale vertebra? What exactly are those spongy looking things? Come and find out! Ice cream is available in our shop for the whole seaside experience.

The event is free, but donations are appreciated to cover the cost of materials and support our work.
