About the event

What does the future look like for Shropshire’s rivers and waterways?

Join the Shropshire Rivers Hub for a day bringing together land managers, water managers, experts, organisations and river enthusiasts to connect, share ideas and explore some of the biggest issues facing our water environment.

This year’s theme is The Future for Water — looking at the challenges facing our rivers and the projects, partnerships and organisations working to create healthier, cleaner and more wildlife-rich waterways for the future.

Shropshire is home to more than 3,846 miles of watercourse, including a superb stretch of the UK’s longest river, the Severn. With increasing pressure on our rivers and growing recognition of the importance of healthy waterways for both people and wildlife, there has never been a more important time to come together and share what is happening across the county.

What to expect

Throughout the day, hear from a range of people working across Shropshire’s water environment, with speakers representing:

  • Industry
  • Environmental organisations
  • Hydrogeology
  • Land management
  • Farming initiatives
  • River and catchment projects

There will be opportunities to network, discover new projects, share ideas and learn about the work taking place across Shropshire to support the future of our rivers.

Interested in showcasing your own project, organisation or business? We also welcome enquiries from anyone interested in speaking or bringing a stand to the conference.
