About the event

The resilience of woodland is remarkable – here, the felled oaks have emerged as coppice after felling for conifer plantation, and the ancient woodland ground flora has returned. The valley rings with the song of warblers above the haze of bluebells – a real good-to-be-alive place for us and for them. Breathe the same air as the newly awakened dormice!

Expect an easily paced walk enlivened by interesting facts, fascinating fables and snippets! Please bring binoculars if you have them. 

The terrain is steep and can be muddy, so the walk is not suitable for less able individuals, pushchairs or wheelchairs. Strong footwear is recommended.
