About the event

The talk will be by Mia Clement who is a Digital Communications Officer at Shropshire Wildlife Trust, where she works to bring wildlife, climate and nature conservation to life through storytelling, digital communications and community engagement.

This talk explores the story of the beaver across the UK, from its historic presence and eventual extinction, through to its modern-day return and the growing number of beavers now living in the wild.  Mia will be looking at what beavers actually do, to the potential future of beavers in the UK

From their disappearance to their return, this is the story of one of Britain's most fascinating and increasingly influential — mammals, and the role they could play in making our landscapes wilder, wetter and more resilient.
