Beavers in Shropshire: Learning Resource
Learn more about Beavers in Shropshire
The Beavers in Shropshire learning resource has been produced by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, with support from North Wales Wildlife Trust. This illustrated 40-page bumper pack is full of learning activities, games and challenges including 'Beaver Board Game, 'Beaver Dam Challenge' and 'Beaver History and Legends'.
Beavers provide an excellent example of how everything in nature is linked and their study can be incorporated into many subjects in the curriculum. I have no doubt that all children will enjoy learning about beavers and the fantastic work they do from this education pack.
Foreword by Iolo Williams
The document is a result of the Shrewsbury Beaver Project which saw Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shrewsbury Town Council release two Eurasian beavers at the Old River Bed Nature Reserve, in February 2025. This was doable thanks to the generosity of multiple funders and supporters.
