About the event
LUDLOW BRANCH WALK SUNDAY 10TH AUGUST 10.00 – 13.00
ON THE VERY IMPORTANT AND BEATIFUL SHROPSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST CATHERTON COMMON AND CRAMER COMMON RESERVES
The walk will cover rough ground with a small narrow stream to cross, so good foot wear is essential, please check the weather for Clee Hill because the sites are exposed and appropriate clothes should be worn.
With the very wet winter and now the very hot weather with drying winds it will be interesting to see how the wildlife is coping. We hope the Marsh gentians will be out in flower, last year they were very successful.
Directions: Follow the A4117 (Ludlow to Cleobury Mortimer road) over Clee Hill. At Doddington take the road north towards Farlow and Oreton, after 1 mile go over a cattle grid, then turn right at the next crossroads to Upper Marshes. Park on the left hand side of the open ground.
Grid ref: SO 641787.
I believe the What Three Word code is scar.subplot.vehicle
Please note there are no toilet facilities on the common.
This is a free event but donations are very welcome to help pay for our inside events and funds are getting a little low!!
