Wild bees need your help!

Can you help our bees by opening a Bee Cafe at your home, work or community space?

Bees and other pollinators are really struggling because of the loss of flower-rich grasslands and the use of harmful pesticides.

bee cafe

A Bee Cafe is a place for bees to feed. It could be a flower pot with lavender in it, a new flower bed to replace lawn or a community flower garden.

You could even let your lawn grow - it doesn't need to be the whole thing, some people have created beautiful shapes in their lawns with long grass areas. Let your imagination fly.

If you're up for letting part of your lawn grow into a wildlife area, then we've even made signs to let your neighbours and passers-by know what's happening.

We've got some great advice and information for you to download and help you create new places for bees to feed and live. Check out the links at the bottom of the page or click the image to download the wild bee action pack.

If you're setting up a community activity then you can use the Bee Cafe logos to make your own materials to publicise what you're doing and hopefully get other people interested.

If you want to really go for it, make a home for bees. Nick Baker has some great advice on how to make a bee box for masonry bees.

If you make a Bee Cafe then we'd love to hear from you!
