About the event

Smalley Hill is a former land fill site that is now a popular local walking spot and wildlife site. There is a boardwalk that was added to improve the site, but it can become slippery when wet, so to improve accessibility for visitors we need help to lay some wire mesh and add a hand rail.

This will be led by Community Reserves Officer Matt Hawkins over two days on the 11^th and 18^th August. You are welcome to sign up to just one, or both days. It’s a great opportunity to get some experience in practical skills for conservation work, and find out more about what it’s like to work on nature reserves.

This is part of a range of activities Shropshire Wildlife Trust is offering specifically for young people aged 16-25.
