About the event

Lightmoor Nature Reserve is home to a small group of grazing animals, including Norman the donkey. Norman recently decided to go on an adventure into a nearby community orchard, so we need some help to build a fence for him and his friends.

This will be led by Community Reserves Officer Matt Hawkins over three days on the 20th, 21st and 28th July. You are welcome to sign up to just one or two days, or all three. It’s a great opportunity to get some experience in practical skills for conservation work, and find out more about what it’s like to work on nature reserves.

This is part of a range of activities Shropshire Wildlife Trust is offering specifically for young people aged 16-25.

Paths can be uneven, not many stopping places with seating. Need to be able to stand for long periods.

What to bring

Wear comfortable sturdy footwear. Please bring a packed lunch and water/something to drink.
